Summary | 0001422: Error message on web UI login |
Description | I've just upgraded and see "Can't use string ("0") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at /usr/local/pf/bin/pfcmd line 2062."
This error message reports itself once at first login (ie under the menu bar when first logging in) and then disappeared until you go to specific URL https://server:1443/configuration/categories.php [^]
|
Steps To Reproduce | |
Additional Information | I started with PF 3.2 virtual appliance, which was then upgraded with yum update. Plenty of OS updates came down at that point - which was prior to 3.3 release.
Then today (some 7 days later) I've upgraded to 3.3, via yum update --enablerepo=PacketFence,rpmforge
This info in case you wish to try and reproduce the issue. This is my test rig, although I really need the 3.3 functions in the kit I'm trying to productionise, so if it would be expedient for you to SSH into this error box I could provide the access. |

Not sure if this is relevant - however, trying to use the captive portal login screen from a host, it brings up an error message page:
Software error:
Can't call method "fetchrow_hashref" on an undefined value at /usr/local/pf/lib/pf/nodecategory.pm line 123.
For help...
Hope this helps... |

We have seen the same issue after upgrading. We have re-installed a clean version of PacketFence but see the same symptoms. Occurs whether we select LDAP or Radius authentiction. |

Ran it again. Didn't help, removed db and pf. Reinstalled 3.2 re-ran the upgrades and schemas and it's working now.
Thanks |

Waiting for 'milkmansson' to confirm that it is ok before closing. |

Re-open if it is still an issue. |
