0000851: confusion between php-pear-Log and php-pear-log in yum
php-pear-Log from CentOS extras (or EPEL)
php-pear-log from rpmforge (dag)

Package on rpmforge is older and it seems abandoned (no release since 2007).

Maybe EPEL is not activated by default on RHEL?

it would seem that activating EPEL (redhat's extras from the fedora folks) fixed the issue:
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=727607.34231.qm%40web30008.mail.mud.yahoo.com&forum_name=packetfence-users [^]

I'll make sure the doc is clear about the requirement of CentOS extras and RHEL's EPEL.
