| Summary | 0001343: stop closing iplog when we stop packetfence | |||||||
| Description | reproduce: - rely on iplog for device isolation - have long leases (+ 8 hrs) - restart packetfence in the middle of a day - notice how isolation no longer can isolate devices because we invalidated all iplog entries fix: 1) don't close iplog on packetfence stop (what would be the consequence of that?) optional: instead of open end_time we can put it a configurable reasonable lease time like 3 days or something like that (it would be overwritten on new dhcp anyways) | |||||||

After some discussions we decided to go ahead with this one. We know that this could leave some entries open for longer than it should but we think the benefits outweigh the caveats. We will strongly consider reverting the change on any regression cases so please let us know if you experience anything unexpected. |
