apt-get remove --purge packetfence

Is this really a new installation? Do you have an old /usr/local/pf/var/cache directory lying around?

Forget it, from scratch indeed, just ran a brand new Wheezy, and no issues.

So you're saying that --purge, is not cleaning the old cache of pf ?

You can close, if, sorry for that...

No. Purging the packages removes /usr/local/pf.
