What is PacketFence Cloud?

PacketFence Cloud allows value-added reseller (VAR) and managed services provider (MSP) to offer PacketFence services to their customers.

PacketFence Cloud is a server-software solution that allows you to manage multiple PacketFence deployments from a centralized management platform. From PacketFence Cloud, each customer has its own PacketFence virtual machine. The virtual machine is usually deployed on-premise - to increase security, reduce complexity and be tolerant to any Internet connection failures. The virtual machine is nonetheless entirely managed from the PacketFence Cloud platform which can hosted at Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Rackspace and others.

One-click backup and restore

From a single mouse click, customers can take a full snapshot of their running PacketFence server. The snapshot will be stored in the PacketFence Cloud server. Customers can also restore at anytime from a snapshot - also from a single mouse click!

One-click upgrade

Customers can easily upgrade PacketFence, as they want, directly from the Web administrative interface. No more packages install, database schema upgrade, etc. - PacketFence Cloud will take care of all that complexity for your customers

Site-to-site VPN

This allows the PacketFence Cloud operator to easily access PacketFence's customer virtual machine through a highly secured channel. The VAR/MSP can easily provide support to their customers. That secured channel is also used when taking backups or restoring from one of them. Moreover, PacketFence Cloud includes an intuitive web-based interface to manage customer's accounts.
